
Sea View House is over 100 years old. Built of local Harris stone, it has been lovingly modernised with oak floors, artisan woodwork and hand painted wall murals reflecting the landscape and wildlife of Harris. The house has Wi-Fi. Room by room guide below
Dogs
We accept one well behaved dog.
Please make sure that no traces of your dog are left behind in the house or the garden.
The garden is fenced but not dog proof. Sheep are everywhere and roam freely, please make sure your dog is under control at all times.

Large open plan fully equipped kitchen with Siematic kitchen units, 5 burner Smeg gas hob, Bosch double oven, Bosch dishwasher, double sink, granite counter tops, larder style fridge (with small top of the fridge ice box),
Full sized Miele washer and Bosch tumble drier.
High quality danish crystal wine glasses for red/white/champagne/cocktails plus a cocktail shaker and measure,
Premium table wear/crockery from Le Creuset, Broste, Sophie Conran and Dartington amongst others.
Plenty of pans, saucepans and mixing bowls, powerful stick blender, set of chefs knives and multiple chopping boards.
Cafetieres for ground coffee, Magimix Nespresso ‘pod’ coffee machine with integrated milk frother (please bring your own pods) together with teapots, kettle, electric coffee bean grinder and 4 slice toaster.
Antique French oak dining table and designer chairs.
Sitting area with Italian leather sofa, Eames chairs & footstools, large smart TV and wood burning stove.
A great space for cooking, pre dinner drinks, chatting, watching the waves or otter and sea eagle spotting from the deep comfy window seats.
In between the kitchen/family room and sitting room there is a separate bathroom with WC and washbasin.
2nd Sitting/reading room
Separate and very spacious sitting/reading room, with deep window seats offering wonderful sea views.
Oversized velvet sofas providing lots of comfy seating & cushions to sink into.
Feature French antique chateau fireplace with wood burning stove.
Study/working area with antique mahogany desk, 2 designer ‘tulip’ chairs, small library and board games.
Hand made rugs & original paintings compliment the furniture.
Fantastic room for relaxing and unwinding, reading a book, playing board games or listening to music via the Bluetooth speaker.
Beautiful hand painted wall mural of local flowers and wildlife, including our famous Highland ‘coos’, Catherine and baby Angus.
Open plan hand made wooden staircase leading to the 1st floor master ‘waterlily’ suite.
Please note that the open staircase is not suitable for small children - however there is a lovely ground floor bedroom (Machair Suite - please see below) for those who want to be with small children or prefer to avoid steps
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
1 upstairs bedroom and 1 ground floor bedroom (ideal for those who prefer one level or wish to avoid stairs) ensure space and privacy.
Both bedrooms are en-suite, with double vanity units, separate walk in power showers & WC.
The 1st floor master suite also has a double spa bath and 2 person infrared sauna.
All beds have hypoallergenic ‘down feel’ duvets/pillows and both bedrooms have sea views.

Waterlily suite - 1st floor
The master ‘waterlily’ suite on the 1st floor runs the entire width of the house and has an extra long 2.2m Swiss Auping king sized bed with memory foam mattress and super sized pillows.
Bedding is high thread count Egyptian cotton, velvet bedspread & cushions and thick cotton towels for guests to enjoy.
The open plan bathroom has a double whirlpool bath, infrared 2 person sauna, double marble topped vanity unit and separate walk in power shower & WC (behind the sauna for privacy) .
The room has 3 velux windows which offer stunning views across the Sound of Harris. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs.
Machair suite - ground floor
The ground floor ‘machair’ bedroom is at the rear of the house.
2 single beds with pocket sprung mattresses, double vanity unit, separate WC and walk in power shower with both a hand held and rainfall shower heads.
Bedding is high thread count sateen cotton with beautiful wild flower machair inspired quilts and faux fur throws.
Heavy designer woven linen curtains/blinds and thick cotton towels complete the décor.
The room has 3 windows with views of the local fields, sheep (sometimes!) and the Sound of Harris.
Gardens
Enjoy Sea View House’s lovely wild garden with fantastic sea views full of wildflowers, birds, bees, butterflies and bunnies.
Look for resident seals, otters and eagles in the bay.
Parking
Roadside parking for 2 cars across from the house, next to the sea.
